Cyber Safety

Here is a collection of websites and organisations which support Cyber Safety for school-aged children. It is imperative that Cyber Safety begin at home.

• Commonsense Media - One of the major organisations safeguarding children's safety online through  a variety of resources about keeping parents informed. Even provides a rating system for movies!
• ChildNet.com - This organisation has a range of projects around Cyber Safety for children of various ages. A huge array of downloadable resources for parents, including posters and online resources to stay up to date and informed.
• Cyber-Safety - While this site is predominantly geared toward an American audience, it provides good tips and hints on how parents can help keep their kids safe while online.
• Cybersmart - This site is geared to an Australian audience, but like the site above, provides a wealth of information and resources for parents as well as helpful tips.

While there are many more possible options to find out more about Cyber Safety and Internet Safety, these are our recommendations as a good place to start.
