Week in Review for 31/03/11

Yesterday we had Trade Day and it was very fun. My partner was KH and we were trying our best to keep our money but in the last few minutes, Mexico came to sell us a lot of things and we were trying our best to keep the amount of money that we were going to pay very low because we were running out of money too quickly. There were lots of other countries around us. Some of the countries were very unlucky because they were given a crisis and when you get a crisis, you can't trade for 15 minutes. Fortunatly KH and I never got a crisis. Our country was Libya.

In PE we have something called PE Sport Module and we are doing the sport football for the next 5 weeks and we have a tournamenet which i think is going to be very fun. After the tournament, we have a party.

In our Football ECA, we have another tournament taking place next week on Tuesday. I am very excited for the tournament. We will play against another local school and we will visit them in their school so hopefully we will win.

Thanks NS!

  2. Hi,

I am a teacher in Vermont, U.S.A. and I'm interested what sort of crisis did other countries have?

You're lucky to be playing football in PE. I'm guessing it's what we call here "soccer", and not American football. Right now the 6th graders in my class are playing hockey during PE. Soon they'll be playing baseball. Good luck against the other school you'll be playing.

Thank you very much for your comment. Thank you for what you said about our blogs about other countries and we were very interested about our countries too. We learned a lot about the countries and much more than what we thought we knew.

I really enjoyed reading this blog post. I like that you have a Trade Day to learn about other countries. Knowing about the world around you is very important. What are some of the things that you got to learn? Also, how are you liking football? Being in the United States, football is very important to us. I am a fan of college football more than professional, but watching any game is exciting. Good luck on your game and I hope you have fun! Thank you for letting me read your blog!

Hi Jenna, I got to learn many things about the country I was presenting during trade day and also about the other countries which were presenting around me. Trade day was very fun and I had the oppertunity to learn a lot of international things. We learnt a lot of things during that day like how the economies of countries are doing and what the import and export to and from their country. We also learned about the things that the country has a loss of or what they usually need. At our school we a girls junior football team and a boys junior football team. The day we had the girl game we lost (unfortunetly) 4-1. Thank you for posting on our blog.
